We use the best practices of software development
Software development is generally recognized as a difficult process. According to
the Standish Group report,
only 35 percent of software projects started in 2006 can be categorized as successful,
meaning they were completed on time, on budget and met user requirements. Among
the key factors of project success is proper development methodology.
JetIdeas uses the MSF (Microsoft Solutions Framework) as the methodology,
which captures many of the best practices of software development including iterative
development, continuous verification of software quality, using component-based
architectures etc. This disciplined approach to development ensures the production
of high quality software that meets the needs of its end users within a predictable
schedule and budget.
We tailor the methodology for your project
Two different versions of MSF 4.0 exist: MSF for CMMI Process Improvement,
which emphasizes process over people, and MSF for Agile Software Development,
with an emphasis on people over process. We select the appropriate version depending
on customer needs:
- MSF for Agile Software Development used if the requirements to
the project can not be mostly specified prior to development and are likely to be
changed dynamically.
Typical applications: web sites, mass user software
- MSF for CMMI Process Improvement used if the requirements are not
subject for frequent change and customer needs to plan precisely each feature implementation
for several months or even years ahead, or demands formal reports of all project
development processes
Typical applications: medical or aircraft software, programming
tools etc.
Both of these methodologies are integrated into brand new TFS (Team Foundation Server).
Due to TFS, our customers get opportunity to review project status by means of clear
and vivid reports 24/7. Please review some of the report examples
